Clearance sale Sunday 29th March

Two of Thistle Street’s finest boutiques, Kakao by K (http://www.kakao.co.uk/) and Pam Jenkins (http://www.pamjenkins.co.uk/) have joined forces to serve up a clearance sale treat to Edinburgh’s female style pack. On Sunday 29 March 2009 both boutiques will open their doors at 12pm offering all of last season’s stock at ‘bag-a-bargain’ prices, and everything must go!
Prices will start from as low as £5 in Kakao by K on items from their unique range of designers such as Edith & Ella, D’ahrling and Minus. Pam Jenkins is offering up to 80% discount with sale prices starting from £25 on their collection of shoe designers including Kate Spade, Rupert Sanderson and Christian Louboutin.

Both boutiques will be open 12-5pm on Sunday for a seasonal clearance sale.

Spring summer trends

We have started to unwrap our exclusive new spring and summer collections at Kakao by K and…they are simply delicious.

Hello sailor! Nautical is back again – hurrah. This time however, traditional navy and chic black and white are mixed up with bright colours this season. Sailor dresses and marine jackets have invaded the Edith and Ella collection, but are still ultra feminine. Team nautical items with smart pieces to balance out the 'sporty' side of sailor style.

Charity fashion show 22nd March

Date for the diary! On Sunday the 22nd of March Kakao by K will be showcasing the spring summer collection at the lynne’s challenge fashion show which is raising money for a teenage cancer unite at the Western General Hospital n Edinburgh to support Teenagers in the east of Scotland fighting cancer. The fashion show will take place at the Performing Arts Centre, Stewart Melville on Queensferry Road. The reception will start at 4pm with complementary wine and canapés, with the fashion show starting at 5pm. 200 guests will support and applaud the models as they step onto the catwalk - all have a very good reason to model for Teenage Cancer Trust. Some are teenagers who have had cancer, some are still fighting cancer. Parents and siblings of teenagers who have died from cancer join nursing, auxiliary staff and two consultants from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and volunteer fundraisers on the catwalk. Tickets are £20 for front row seats and £15 for all other seats. Tickets are selling fast so if you don’t want to get disappointed book a seat now. All money raised goes to the Teenage Cancer Trust. New Season

We simply can’t wait to unwrap our 2009 collections; and hope that you too are looking forward to checking out what’s new in store this coming season. We will continue with our much loved Scandinavian labels this year including Dahrling, House of Lykke, Edith & Ella and Dixie. We will however, also be introducing hot French label IKKS for Spring/Summer 09, which we are sure you will fall in love with. IKKS designs for women play on the contrasts between authenticity/sophistication, and relaxation/chic touches. Relaxation is key but never sporty – always Parisian chic. So, if you dream of capturing the effortless Parisian look then pop into Kakao by K where the new collections have already started to trickle through.
