Pretty Things I find when I should be working.........

I'd love to have these Danish wooden floors at home, they make the room look so light and bright.

It is the same design philosophy behind Scandinavian furniture as for clothes. It is timeless, chic and functional. It is these ingredients which makes it some of the leading designs in the world.

Copenhagen Fashion Week

We had wrapped up warm to go to Copenhagen this time as it was -10 during the day... brrrr

We have this tradition every time we go to Copenhagen that have a Danish hotdog as soon as we land, and this time we kind of stuck to the tradition. We didn't have a traditional hotdog in the airport but at Andersen Bakery across from the main train station.

The Grand danois hotdog at Andersen Bakery is made from organic pork
sausage topped with organic ketchup, mustard, homemade remoulade, homemade crispy onions and pickled cucumbers. Verdict? Worth waiting till getting in to town!

We then rushed of to the Gallery which is one of our favourite places to look for Scandinavian brands.

At the Gallery we saw By Malene Birger who had a great little area to relax and rest your feet.

We also popped in to see the girls at the Margit Brandt Stand.

Day two we went to see House of Lykke at Oeksnehallen here we also found Joe and the Juice pop-up juice bar, we loved the concept, it basically only seemed to employ guys, who were making and serving the juices whilst dancing to the funky music played.

The Danes are know for cycling this is parked cycles in the city centre

Staff at the fashion fair even cycle around with refreshments

We had a great time in Copenhagen, we worked really hard (and played a little) and found some lovely new collections for Autumn which we can't wait to show you

LAMB 1887

Glamorous, feminine and timeless.
The Lamb philosophy is 'Beautiful bags for beautiful women'

Inspired by the old school glamour of Sophia Loren and Jackie O, of Capri and Portofino, the elegant handbags are brought up to date with this seasons colours and modern twists.

Lamb was created by Charlotte Lamb, the fourth generation in a family run British manufacturing business based in Yorkshire. Established in 1887 by her great-grandfather's clog workshop.

Working in the City of London, Charlotte was inspired to create Lamb after struggling to find stylish quality handbags at affordable prices.

Lamb has already got a strong celebrity following which include Fern Cotton and Pippa Middleton.

Margit Brandt

Margit Brandt is Denmark's designer queen of the 1960's generation. With her daughter Julie Brandt as Creative Director they have have relaunched

the label. The designs have a unique fashion fusion of nostalgic retro with an innovative and contemporary spark. This means the pieces are innovative yet timeless with a feminine elegance with respect for the contemporary.
The Spring/Summer 2012 collection takes inspiration from cool couples of the 70's who were trendsetters in an exciting decade for the worlds o
f fashion, music and art. Think Mick and Bianca Jagger, Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin - it hard to inject more coolness.

The collection is feminine, flattering and sexy. Long silk dresses, jumpsuits, tunics, and small, feminine tops, wide pants and jersey styles in floating silhouettes are accentuated by exciting knits suitable for any occasion. Attention is drawn to the waist, which is highlighted by a belt.

In the spirit of the 70s, non-colours such as drab, beige, black, army and grey are combined with orange, rust, cerise and rouge - the possibilities to mix and match are endless.
